Oliebollen

Dutch doughnuts traditionally eaten on New Year's Eve. Makes 12.

Ingredients

  • 200g flour
  • 100g raisins
  • 25g fruit peel
  • 3/4 tsp salt (3g)
  • 150ml milk
  • 1 apple
  • 4 sachets of yeast
  • 1 egg

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients together
  2. Allow to rise for 1.5 hours
  3. Deep fry in hot oil (190°C)
